We had eight working days in various locations to co - produce, gather material from the community to then formulate the resulting exhibition. Given the time scale and the sensitivity of the subject matter, this project was extremely challenging. I quickly had to respond to personality and communicate with sensitivity, whilst photographically documenting the process, seeking images, metaphors and narratives of isolation and loneliness to accompany that communities co - produced voice. Very early I had to formulate a framework for myself to work to. A journey from the external landscape, to the community urban landscape, ending finally within the internal landscape of the old people home. I then delivered that framework, or that journey ‘from out to in’ within the final exhibition.
